Since 2012, Brasserie Appelmans’ Private Bar is the place to be on Fridays and Saturdays for a tasty cocktail, a nice glass of wine or a refreshing Belgian beer.
This bar, in typical speakeasy style, is located on the 2nd mezzanine, hidden behind massive wooden doors and a revolving book wall.
Architect Kurt Hereygers of Not Before Ten designed the bar with a lot of attention to detail. Take a seat on one of the classically upholstered chairs, the big leather couch or at the bar of course. You’ll immediately notice the many wooden apothecary cabinets spanning the full width of the bar.
The Private Bar can be rented from Sundays to Thursdays for demonstrations, wine tastings, cocktail workshops, stylish parties and private dining.
